Zarx264gui audio sync problem
Seems to be the same problem as in this locked thread (thats why I'm making a new one)
But the link is dead.
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/forum/v ... 46&t=79916
The video and audio looks and sounds just fine in VirtualDub but its off sync after the Zarx264gui
encoding. tried mixing it up with external audio and settings but nothing is giving in.
Help would be much appreciated

Re: Zarx264gui audio sync problem
Try remuxing to mkv with mkvmergegui (it's part of the mkvtoolnix) and set the framerate of the video and, if needed, the audio delay there. That could help since I've seen some players having audio sync issues with mp4 but be fine when the video was remuxed to mkv.
The issues in the thread you linked was about float framerate, which shouldn't be a problem anymore, so I think it's this other thing instead (not quite sure what causes it).

Re: Zarx264gui audio sync problem
Ummm I have noticed that the issue isn't really audio sync (perhaps I should change the title) every movie I encode with Zarx264gui kinda make a small lag (the video)
then looks like it goes fast for a second, and after that it goes smooth the whole video, but by then the audio is out of sync. but that leap in the beginning is really anoying and ugly
even If I could fix the sync problem.
any ideas? I'm not very good with this stuff

Re: Zarx264gui audio sync problem
Sounds like h264 is out of date. Slap the new CCCP on the system - have it remove all the old stuff first.

Re: Zarx264gui audio sync problem
Does it happen on h264 stuff encoded NOT with Zarx? Like doing a quick commandline x264 run and muxing to MKV. Could be the interleaving on the mux is off as well, which being MP4 wouldn't be all that surprising.
@BasharOfTheAges: I know what you're trying to say but PLEASE learn your terminology, "h264" can't possibly be "out of date", the standard doesn't just get arbitrarily amended.

Re: Zarx264gui audio sync problem
I saved the project directly as h264 in Premiere and that worked fine (sync and lag wise) that much I know, does that answer your question? as I said I'm a newbie

umm yeah; the default settingsBoneripper wrote:.. but its off sync after the Zarx264gui encoding. ..
kinda pop-up after you've pressed "accept"
if you look at the Zarx264gui, it is run by a script, and you can change that script.
my first encodes with Zarx264gui did the same thing and the FPS were not correct.
just change the script
( yes, the last time I used Zarx264gui was also the last time I used it. )

I'm sorry if I'm stupid but change the script to what?

post-it has no idea what he's talking about and I still don't know if he even speaks English, best to ignore him, he rarely if ever makes sense.
What I meant was using x264 from commandline. If you hit start and go to run or search, type 'cmd' and hit enter. In the box that comes up, try x264.exe "C:\path\to\lossless.avi" --crf 18 --preset slower --tune animation -o test.mkv, then once it is done, open MKVMergeGUI, add your test.mkv and your audio file, and hit mux. Then try it in a media player. If it works that way, you can use YAMB or something to remux to MP4 (or just leave it as MKV, it's a better format) and you're set. If it doesn't work, there is most likely something wrong with your actual processing somewhere and you should go over the framerates. But it sounds like an issue with the interleaving in the MP4 file to me. Mirko or someone might be able to provide you a picture guide to all this if it is too complicated.

Re: Zarx264gui audio sync problem
Okay at least that fixed the sync problems but a new problem surfaced, while the MKV file made was gone of the problems before it have some strange new behavior, there is a small line just on the edge of the right part of the video and the video gets darker sometimes in some scenes. I really don't know whats going on.
