So how exactly do I convert.....

Post by iGREASE » Wed Sep 24, 2008 2:36 pm

.mks files to .avi?

Cause when I tried to open them in V-Dub, it would say something about not being compadable or something near there.

So, could someone explain to me how I would do this?

.mks? Are you sure you want make subtitle stream an avi? If you are trying to create hard subs there are better ways of doing it.

Or do you actually mean .mkv? If so, extract the video stream with MKVExtractGUI (if you are on a PC) and then go from there - the video stream may already be in an avi.

Using an avs script with directshowsource will automatically leave out the subtitle stream, cutting out all that extra fluff

Nonono.

Ok, so I downloaded the English Dub Version of Le Portrait De Petite Cossette and it came as .mks.
There are no subs.

What I am trying to do is convert it to Lagarith so I can edit.

Bah where the hell is the edit button.
Yeah I mean .mkv (What am I smoking?).

Ok, I did the mkvmerge GUI and it is still .mkv.
What do I do now?
