Hiyas! I'm a newbie here at a-m-v.org and also at AMV making. I have one little question. What do you believe is the best video capture for the Window XP?
I'm planning on trying my hand at creating music videos, but don't know what to do. From searching the computer, I have the Windows Movie Maker, so, I'm going to play with that for a little while before trying something else. But I doubt that our computer has a video capture card. How can you tell if the computer that you bought has a capture card? And also, if it doesn't, what's the best one to use that's not too difficult for a newbie like me?
Thanks for the answers!

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... ogeta.html might help. i guess you can tell if your video card has video capture if it has a video-in connector.
sorry, i personally dont have experience with capturing source. i've only used digital source, and i've read that it's simpler to use than analog.
good luck though. i have a basic guide to wmm 2.0 in my sig if you need help with that.

You can get a demo version of adobe premier at www.adobe.com and try that out. Its a great program with a good selection of filters to play with.
The version available for download is always a full version behind what they sell, but you get a good feel for the software.
It has a good capture option that works well.
You would probably do better if you tried using a digital source for your video though. Raw analog data is huge and hard to work with until it is compressed
