Premiere or After Effects

I'm sort of a beginer with both of these programs and don't know how they work yet. Which one should i use? Which one is better?

They're both used for different things. If you don't understand what they *should* be used for, you should just stick with WMM.

having played around a fair bit with both i would say that you would use premire to composite your initial video and then if you wanted to do more touchups/effects on your video that exists as one chunk then you use after effects. hence the word after in the name.
that how i would do it anyways >.>
