I've just got my comp back from getting it fixed...again, and I can't play halo online/single player, or halflife, or Gunz, or even any small 3D flash games like redline rumble. This is a real kick in the pants seeing as how I finaly got highspeed after 8 long years of waiting.
The only info I can give is that I was able to play these games before, and that there was nothing done to my video card (that I know of), and that I can open up the game (example halo) but as soon as I join a server it freezes, some times just the game, some times the whole comp
Help if you can
Thanks

while I will offer you some tips right now. This is not a tech support forum. This forum is for hardware help in relation to video editing. Most of the people here really arent interested in playing games. At least not as much as a games forum or even a general tech support forum. You will probably get alot more help and response over there.

However im not that coldhearted. Here are some tips you might try.
First: update your video drivers. Make sure you are using the most up to date drivers for your card. If the people that fixed your computer messed around with windows or your reg folder, this could be the problem.
Second: Make sure your firewall isnt preventing you from joining online games. I have had problems where my firewall would freeze my game everytime i tried to search for servers. Try setting the program control to passive mode or something.
hope that helps
