Extern Hardrive Issue !

Post by Freyzon » Sun Oct 05, 2008 6:56 am

I just got my long waited extern hardrive on 500 GB. for storing all my lossless files. now my problem is that the extern can only have files stored that is in a max. of 4 GB. is this something that can be changed? or is it just the way my HD is?

Sounds to me like it's been formatted with FAT32 or the like. See if you can reformat it to NTFS

Format the HD (right click > format) and choose the NTFS file system when doing so. The file dimension limit is due to the FAT32 file system. :)
