What the hell is that damned "Thinking" noise? Is there a way to get it to NOT make that noise?

Maybe you me the sound of your harddrive? If you are hearing it when opening programs the only thing you could do would be to get a qutier HD. If your hearing it while say editing in Premeire then a RAM upgrade to stop it from using swap files will help. The only way I can think of to totaly stop the sound would be to dyno-mat your case, or maybe move the computer to a differnt roon :o
