Uploading [really about DVD-rip video file formats]

Well, first post....

When I attempt to rip video file from my DVDs, they always save on my hard drive as "PowerDVD" type files, making them unopenible in Windows Movie Maker. How would I go about converting these said DVD rips into usible "Media files".

(In all likelyhood, this question has been asked here before, if not several times, if so juts point me in the right dirrection ^_^;; )

Try reading through the sections on ripping again. You've got the .vob files extracted; they now need to be decrypted and possibly put into a different format if you don't feel like editing from .avs files right from the get-go. I capture instead of ripping, so I can't give you any more immediate assistance, but it should all be in the guide.
