One thing about PsxMc....

Depending on what OS you're using, you might have to hunt around for the correct version. Some versions require a certain .dll file to access your CD/DVD-ROM drive. Win2k and WinXP don't have this particular .dll file. I ran into this problem using Win2KPro, and had to hunt around for three days until I found a version that would work. I think the one Ko Oh Yoku posted IS the one that doesn't require that .dll and will thus work on Win2k and WinXP, though.

Don't let the name of the program fool you. It's not ripping/compressing it to Quicktime. Was just a bad choice of program titles. It actually rips it to M2V (MPEG-2 video, void of audio). So, you can just handle these videos the same way you'd handle a VOB. Run it through DVD2AVI, make a D2V, then make an AVS script, and tadaa! It's running in Premiere :) Thanks to Daniel Chang for helping me test this.

I always use PSXMC, it is the best there is out there right now. I would also like to add that PS 1 games have piles of hidden stuff on their games you can only get at through these hackign programs, in Wild Arms 2 they hid the song from the intro to the first game, in fact, they piles the same song in there several times, why I don't know but they did. And in Vangaurd Bandits, well, I'll let you fidn that one out for yourself :).

I just plug my system to my capture card, but having to play through the game again to get clips seems like work, so it takes away the fun :(

Hey guys, I'm new to making amvs, and was I could get some of your help. I downloaded PSMplay and PSXMC, but can't get either to work. For PSMplay I'm having a problem with assigning the CD-ROM drive, how do I do this? With PSXMC, the problem is everytime I click Open and Analzye CD-ROM, I get an error message saying, "Unable to read TOC from CD-ROM", what is that and how do I get it to work? By the way I'm testing this with Parasite Eve 2, although Xenogears is the one I want to work with.

Sorry for n00b questions, but please help me.
