The best solution lies probably not in software but in hardware - go a capture card or know anyone with a card like that by chance?

spelling screwups.

Anyways, generally, a video card which has a video-in port will have software needed to capture the footage included with it. I don't know much about PS1 emulators - maybe they might work, too, but I got a hunch the capture card is the best way here.

If you're looking to capture in-game footage (not cutscenes), then a capture card is about your only option.

If you're looking for the video cutscenes, they can usually be ripped off the PSX disk using a CD drive and the right programs. Most people here recommend PSXMC, I personally prefer PSMPlay, but either will work, and can be found in the Utilities section of Zophar's Domain.

I think the method described in "getting the .pss files from PS2 games" (the sticky thread) applies to PS1 games as well.
Another pointless post!

I don't think so. PS2 uses MPEG2, while PS1 uses a form of MJPEG.
Read the guide: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/quuguide/
One of the PS1 movie converter links is dead, but the other isn't.

I agree with capturing being the best.
