eheh sorry i think people got the wrong impression.
some discs have their PSS files hidden in a directory or in something that cannot be read by any public OS.
in this case, Kingdom Hearts does not display anything at all. so unless you can hack out the files you're out of luck.
true it can work for some games since the PSS streams are practically out in the open. some games have it in a single file directory (sorta like a zip or rar archive for an analogy) and you must extract the streams from those.
i've only been able to get the PSS streams from a few games. so yes it works, but if you can't find the PSS streams then you can't do anything at all. so i agree, PSS Plex kicks ass, but if you can't give it anything, it's useless.
so hopefully somone can get like a conventional PSS stream extractor just like PSMPlay or PSXMC.
sorry for the confusion people.

I believe that IPU stood for Image Processing Unit, so maybe it's a form of processing some movies in real-time, rather than an MPEG-2 stream like PSS files are.froggy04 wrote:Can someone tell me what an IPU file is, as there are plenty of those on the disc too (in the "movie" folder, therefore I'm assuming they're videos, any confirmation?).
