I've been through a whole 11 page thread ( http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... t=xenosaga )and foudn the same answer.....Hex Editing. I came across thsi thread taht does Hex Editing for Xenosaga as u mentioned.....
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... hp?t=32321
....but that one distinctly says "Before I get any farther, this method does not work on Kingdom Hearts. I have no idea why, the FMVs are probably encoded differently. "
What i wanna know is....has this been even accomplished before or its impossible(atleast extremely harD)?
That being said....another option i came across was KHFM2mov from Project-fao( http://www.project-fao.org/#FFX2 ) but even the program and ReadMe file are in Japanese...(does this method work?). I've tried the Jap to Eng translator from ( http://dictionary.reference.com/translate/text.html ), but no luck again.....i've tried my best.....i think i need a lil more help.
Again,
any help is appreciated

I didn't see any Edit button so here's more to add....
I tried all possibilities with the KHFM2mov program(even though is jap)
I select the DVD Drive the disc was in....(this was a VIRTUAL DVD DRIVE mounted by Virual Daemon using the ISO), and then i tried pressing both buttons one after another....
THe first button gives me a "Invalid Disc Size" Error.
The Second button does simply nothing

The FFX2mov program worked well, so if the KH2mov project is in development, Im sure it'll be the same deal when its finished.
As for Hex Editing, it probably falls under the extreamly hard category. You'd have to go through every little bit of code and hunt down the video streams.
The all out easiest way to get the videos would be to just use a video capture card, but, we all know that costs money.
:to your second post:
Its probably designed for the PAL version of the game, that would be the most likely cause of getting that error.

one-question still unaswered.....has this been done before? or are u just theorizing taht Hex-Editing should work.
once again,
i really aprreciated ur super-fast reply

I think you should ask the person who made this video, because the KH moves in that were definitely ripped off the game disc.

Great Idea!!! but.....how do i contact him? Is there PM option in the member panel? I didnt see any, so if there's a way, please enlighten me. and yes, the videos he used in the movie were probably ripped compared to captured.devilmaykickass wrote:I think you should ask the person who made this video, because the KH moves in that were definitely ripped off the game disc.
