Can anyone reccomend a capture card for me to purchase? Ive looked at many, but im lost and i dont know which kind is the right kind for capturing video game footage.

All capture cards could capture game footage all you have to do is hook the game system to your computer to capture it.

And sorry nope can't tell you what is the best capture card because I don't know.

well I've not gone TV card shopping for 5 months or so so I might as well

wow! this baby looks awesome!!- reading reviews about it...

or you can just go with old reliable, something like this. When it comes to capture recently it's been the more reliable the better as those are the only ones usefull applications like Dscaler and Virtual Dub work with. Of coarse I'm a little rusty, I'd just copy the title of the card into a search engine like google and read about it yourself. If you have any questions we can help you.

ok this one looks like the very best (I can't gaurantee the price, Newegg is no longer the best and undebateable unfortunateley, but still you can do worse and it's a good place to shop) but if you want external then the first one I suggested looks to be the one you want... I've not read reviews on it yet -_-
