i was just refering to the simplistic task of just veiwing the dvd on my computer is unavailibleBy the way, if you just planning on watching it on the computer there are programs that will let you do this. An example of this is: Nero, PowerDVD etc. You dont need programs like Virtual Dub, AviSynth, DV2AVI etc (unless you want to do some editing,converting,de-interlacing and all that) for just watching DVD's

Ok, its not your discs which are the problem its your DVD drive/burner. I would suggest getting a newer one particulary if its 4 yrs + old. SONY DRU-820A is a good brand to consider so as LG. Some DVD's which i experienced wouldnt even load in the PC's DVD drive (it just kept spinning and making this wierd noise) but only on my DVD Player, i didnt know the exact reason although i tried it on my Toshiba Laptop and it works 100% except that you have to push the laser all the way at the end of the spinning wheel.theswarm666x wrote:stupid me. i thought i had that info on my question... i guess while asking this question on other sites i forgot to add that info here...
yes, it works on my dvd players. ps2, and 3 other dvd players.
Good Luck

Excellent specs although i wouldnt go with that Lite-On DVD burner as i hear everyones having problems with that burner. LG (2 Yr Warranty) or SONY (1Yr Warranty) are both good choices to pick.theswarm666x wrote:My Computer is:2nd: What are the specs for your computer? I would advise you to stay away from that brand as there are a few compatibility issues regarding mostly in each model they manufacture. No matter what model they advertise to be really good, each of there burners has a fault here and there, and to my experience there customer service isnt that great. The only reason i would suggest the brands SONY and LG is becuase they are the 2 burners which i never had problems with and also there rating, customer service, price and quality are excellent. But thats my opinion, its up to you. But i definetly would recommended upgrading or adding a new burner/drive.
