Audio syncing issues

Post by billy_wires » Mon Aug 30, 2004 8:09 pm

Ok, so I'm making a movie and have to use a capture card to take the video off the camera. Unforunately I have no way of capturing the audio and the video all at once. What I have set up is to capture the audio using a microphone. My problem is when I do this, it refuses to sync up. It will start out ok, but will then go so fast by the end of the video the audio has been long ended. Why is this? I'm using mono sound (because the camera records mono) at 44100 HZ. Is my sampling rate too high? If so, what should it be at? If it isn't, what the heck am I doing wrong?

Does the audio sound wrong?

It might be due to the framerate the capture card is assuming the footage to, making the video slower than it was, more than the audio being faster than it was.
