I'm sure I'm probably missing some posts as I'm new here, in the vein, posting a link to an old post would be sufficient.
I'm looking to set up a new PC and also buys some software etc to get into AMV production as a hobby. I'm looking for information on Video Capture hardware/software you all use and just some general pointers on creating an AMV.
Other than that hi everyone!

As for hardware help, you might want to let a moderator move this over there, or whatever. Either way, it doesn't belong in AMV suggestions.

Hardware Help
. Most Capture Cards come with their own editers and I would not use the
editer which comes with ATI's newest ALL-IN-Wonder series 9xxx line.
. ATI products and I go way-way back and I'm only saying that it is a Capture
card "good for capturing Mpeg-2 directly to your hard drive."
. The setting are "variable" for the Video - you'll need to experiment with
the settings for truly clean Captures.
- one note: the Audio needs to be captured by your sound card -
