How do I screencap a picture from a DVD on Windows Media Player (or Zoomplayer) onto Paint? I tried print screen but it doesn't work. I heard I had to change the DVD pref. overlays in WinMedia, but I forgot how. :?

# Open Window Media Player
# Then go to Tools | Options
# In Options, select the Performance Tab
# Way below you click on the Advanced Button
# Uncheck “Use Overlays’
# Click Ok

Yeah. Not even that works. I get a black screen after pasting it. I'm trying to paste a DVD.

The parsing outcome is horrible. Not clear at all.

Go to Windows Media Player > Tools > Options > Performance > Change Video Acceleration to "None". Then pause where you want to make the screencap and press the print screen button.

I use VLC media player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) when I need a quick screenshot. Play the DVD, pause at the point you want the screenshot, then on the menu go to Video > Snapshot. You'll find the picture in your My Pictures folder as vlcsnap-xxxxx.png. You can change the destination directory and the image format to .jpg in the Settings > Preferences... menu. No need to mess with video acceleration, video overlays, and such.
Having trouble playing back videos? I recommend: Image

If you pause the video hold down Ctrl and press Print Screen. This will make a temporary copy of the screen as you see it(You can do this at any time) then just Ctrl + V to paste it where you want. It's the easiest, quickest way to get a single screen shot.
