BLOOD 4 THE BLOOD GOD - Accolades entry

I didn't know I was going to make this video until the middle of this summer when I watched the movie for the first time. Being an animation enthusiast I had known of its existence, and that it was a very wild movie with crazy good animation. Looking for inspiration, I decided to finally watch it (definitely lived up to the hype) and upon finishing it I knew I could make something with this kind of music.
In total, I spent about 4-5 weeks (off and on) editing the video. The version I uploaded to youtube is not any different than the one I sent to accolades, other than tweaking some blurs and fixing the timing on the music cut at the end.

The video ended up being a finalist in five categories, and won Best Storytelling.. which came as a shock since that has been one of my biggest weaknesses in editing. I've always been a "vibes" editor that didn't give much thought to storytelling, but winning this has made me realize that I'm showing much improvement in that aspect!

Thank you everyone who participated in this year's Accolades! It was an overall fun and engaging experience, and everyone did amazing!

Hey at least you didn't get Best Throwback, I did . I was happy you got your win on this video, and I knew you were one of the people that were patting my back when I got Throwback. Mad respect for you and your works, you already know that!
