black and white to color

Hey, this is sorta stupid but how can i fade from black and white picture back into color and that looks smooth? Thanks

If you are using premiere, see the section in the manual/help file on using keyframes.

I don't know man, keyframes ^_^ . Not sure of a effect that does that.

You can however:

Copy & Paste clip to track above original.
Apply grayscale to top clip.
Set rubberbands to fade to and from the b&w to the color clip.

wa -l a

I meant to say there is no keyframble effect I know of that allows you to do this. ^_^ The method above does work though.

There isn't? I couldv'e sworn that there is... If the standard black and white effect isn't keyframable, i'm sure theres one where you can adjust the saturation.

You can use the Color Balance(HLS) under Image Control. Key frame it from -100 to 0.0 and it should do the same.
