Avisynth/dvd2avi audio and video

Hey guys...

I'm using the avisynth/dvd2avi/premiere editing technique but here's my problem. The vid I'm trying to make is a very dynamic one, using audio from the movie Braveheart. I need some voice audio from the movie and it's nearly impossible to just sift through the wav or ac3 stream to get the clips I want (reminder...Braveheart is 2 hours and 57 mins). The audio need to be in sync with the movie.

I know there is a way with avisynth to allow editing with ac3 audio (using the same kind of function used for the mpeg2dec plugin).

Any help would be great...or other editing suggestions that would allow easy HIGH quality audio and video editing in premiere. Thx!
