Adobe Premiere 6.5 Export: Blank/Garbled Video

Post by ProdigySim » Thu Mar 06, 2003 10:37 pm

I've tried everything, scoured these forums looking for an answer.
I've read every guide, tried every possibility, even editing Premiere.ini, but nothing has worked.
The problem is that some of my music video has turned into blank or garbled green video.

The beginning title picture works, but after that the clips are garbled-green and blank until the last 4-5 clips, which work fine. The Finishing Title picture works, and the audio is fine.

Are there any suggestions?

I already have my Project and Export setting exactly the same except for Compression (Project: Indio 5.10 or something, Export: DivX 5.02).
HELP!

I'll be uploading my video soon, then I'll link to it so you can see the brokenness.

DO NOT EXPORT FROM PREMIERE WITH DIVX >_<

Get the AMVapp pack.
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... mvapp.html

It will install huffYUV.

Also get XviD from here :

Then follow this guide:

I tried HuffYUV already, same thing.
The source files are ALL DivX 5.02.
Is will DivX 3.11 or XviD work any better?

Now I've tried No compression, and the only thing that works is the title screens.
This is not fun.

I think we found the problem. Premiere hates all forms of divx as source.

I think the trick here is for you to reencode you SOURCE clips as huffyuv, then hide the divx files away in another folder, and when Premiere asks where they are, point them at the huff versions instead.

Yeah, I'm new, whatever.

Anyway, I export my stuff with DivX, and my source files are DivX. So either I'm a really lucky bastage, or that's not his problem.

Please note the word ALL!! If the problem is the DivX source, why do my other DivX source files work?
I think I will reencode all the files to HuffYUV, but if I do and I leave the names the same, will it still work in my Premiere project? Or will I have to redo all the timings?

Wow, no edit button...

Well, I have DivX 5.03, so that might be the solution. Though, I've heard that it has spyware..... :?
