I you're a beginner. i suggest Vegas Video.
For power, Adobe. If you have time to learn and has a fast computer. I think 80% (or more) of AMV makers uses adobe.
Me, I use Vegas Video, i do have Premiere but to lazy (and dumb) to learn.
Both are expensive, so try those less expensive pinnacle ones first or even those demos before buying the real thing.

I agree.Mechaman wrote:Vegas.
But if you don't have that many $$$, try VideoFactory.
It's essentially a limited version of Vegas, but at a fraction of the cost. The screen layout is the same as Vegas and very similar to Premiere. So if you wanted to move up to either one of those later on, it would not be too hard to do.

I wouldn't leave the impression that Premiere is more powerful than Vegas. It isn't (and I've used both). Each one has its own strengths and weaknesses, but overall they're about the same. Premiere can be had for less money if you shop around. Premiere also has the advantage of the AMV guides on this site. Vegas has a better user interface (IMO; this can be subjective) and is more stable. It also has built-in effects that Premiere users can only get by using After Effects (another Adobe software package).Invincible Dawn wrote:I you're a beginner. i suggest Vegas Video.
