Extras

Post by Miang » Mon May 12, 2003 11:00 pm

Hi.
I have a slight problem.
I've ripped my DVDs to my computer, however the 'extras' sections (ie. credit animation without the credits over it) does not seem to be ripped with the rest of the footage.
I'm using SmartRipper to rip, and I've been tinkering with the settings to see if that would help with no results so far. Anyone know if it's a software problem, or me not finding the right settings?
Erm... I'd appreciate any advice...
Thanks..
Miang

That's because the Extras are not part of the main feature. SmartRipper (or any other DVD ripper for that matter) usually only rip the main VOB files (which are the biggest ones). If you want the extras you're going to have to find them manualy then select them. Depending on how the DVD is split up, you might have some trouble finding them.

Hope I was of any help.

Extra stuff

I've tried ripping every single VOB file-- including the ones that the program normally doesn't bother to include. I've also looked at the contents of the disk-- and for some reason, they're not showing up.:( Any other ideas?
