Best free program(s) to make AMV's?

Post by Snowman024 » Mon Sep 01, 2003 11:46 pm

I would really like to get into making these, but I am not rich. I just wanted to see if anyone can recommend me some good free programs.

no there are free programs u can aquier legaly from the net. like tmpgenc or vertual dub, those are also the two best, ones well i think so anyway. but of course adobe premier is much much better i suggest u buy an older version if u cant aford the new one.

or you could just try downloading the trial version of adobe premiere before you think about getting a permanent program, you may decide you dont like making videos after a few days

You can also get trials of ULead editing software. http://www.ulead.com

Their stuff costs less than Adobe and does just about the same thing. I bought some of the older editing software from http://www.lowsoft.com. You can get a basic video editor for less than $20. The stuff is legit.

Not to sound like a complete newbie or anything, but what about Windows Movie Maker?

I know it is totally limited in its ability to create good AMVs but it's a nice (free) introduction before moving up to something more advanced like Premier.
