gimme a hand

Post by doomhammerofdoom » Fri Oct 10, 2003 9:44 am

here is an excert from the video guide -

5) Open up the duplicate copy of your project. It will then stop when it can't find an avi file. When it asks you to locate the avi file, instead point to the original avs version. This should load up your project with nice high quality DVD footage. If AVIsynth crashes at any point on the timeline, then make sure you haven't slowed down any of the footage too much or used too many effects on a clip.

when i try to do this, premiere says that the avs file doesnt match that of the origional file, this is of cource true, but how can i if at all make it work as intended?

(i use premiere 6.0 btw)

As far as I can tell, there was Premiere 6.0, then Premiere 6.5, and then they decided to stop giving the new versions numbers.

So what perhaps should have been "Premiere 7.0" is Premiere Pro.

It did that to me a few times too. You have to "Save Copy As" not "Save As". That way, it skips the previews and doesn't bother bitching about the format not matching the originals. Thats what worked for me anyway.

Either that or just edit the VOB files direct (via AVISynth) instead of doing the MJPEG/AVS switch thing. Either way is in the guide, and either way works fine.
