Ticky problem...

Post by Vesser » Thu Jan 29, 2004 3:57 am

OK, so I'm here at school in Japan for the semester. Now the problem is that I'd like to review some AMVs, but right now I can't. The computers here don't have the right codecs. I've tried to download them (and I might get in trouble), but running the exe programs gets cut off, and it tells me I can't do this. It's an administration quirk. Any idea how I can getaround this/ do this legally within the school computers?

Try to download Videolan at
http://www.videolan.org

Also it is mainly made to read streamed videos, it works fine with files on your hard drive.

I think this app doesn't try to do anything in your registry or System or System32 directories, so no administrator rights are required to install it.

It also uses internal codecs so you don't need to install DivX, XVid or anything else.

It might work :D

I just downloaded it, and it works like a charm! Thank you so much! Now I won't be so bored late at night. 8)
