What are your source files - what format? Does it crash the moment you select the effect to add, or just when you try to preview it?GhostFace wrote:I have a MM2 question. I jsut dled it because im a begginer and was told I could use effect unlike in MM1 but everytime i try to add one it crashes. What can i do?
If your source footage is in a reasonable codec (like huffyuv), then you should be able to add effects just fine. But previewing is difficult no matter what you're using - a timeline with complicated effects is hard to preview unless you have a great computer with excellent running speed - your best bet is to make the section and produce it - preview it in windowsm media player to see if it comes out the way you want it, or just view how the effects/clips line up with the audio timeline instead of trying to play through the effects.

WMM2..i went through that. Use huffyuv, it hates div-x and most other encodes. It is simple to use if you have had any previous experience. Click and hold on clip in timeline and drag to create overlays. Right click and select and option to do most else. Very simple.
I made this in WMM2.
