How do you turn an MPG file into Gif file? Also, how do resize it once it's done?

With such a software, can I edit the "cool" parts with it? Or do I have to use other software?

GIF Animator: depends on what you want to do. You don't get a full picture editor like Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. But it will let you do things like add text, re-paint, erase, crop, etc. There is also a list of effects that include transitions. And you can resize the image or increase the canvas (work area). It also lets you launch another picture editor if you have one - although that requires an editor that understands aither UFO or PSD formats.

With movie files, you can import only the piece that you want by setting in and out points for the original file. The program then shows you each frame on a timeline. You can delete frames and change their durations. Or add frames that you edit, or that GIF Animator creates by itself through duplication or tweening.

More details are here.

Just found out that there is a free version of Ulead's GIF Animator. It's version 2, though (the latest is v5).

The links are at Pricelessware.org.
