While that would likely work you'll get better quality if you can rip it than messing with the analog signal.

Seeing that I have a Laptop Comp I don't see any spots on here to plug weird things into, I already have it plugged into the wall, the Internet Connection plugged. The 2 USB ports are in Use as well as the port for my Camcorder and my headphones. That leaves no other port ar even a place for a card.

I am just trying to find a software program that might work instead.

Is there anything?

I just tried to use another program I had called I rip DVD and I still have the same problem no sound. I know that my speakers are working I can put in a CD to listen to it.

But when trying to bring the AMV out of the DVD I get nothing.
Can anyone Help?

Yeah I was Trying to reach Red Wolf through the Forums but everyone else but him has answered.
I have Emailed Him but have yet to get a response.

I tried ripping the VOB putting throught the other standard programs and Back into IMovie but for some weird reason the video footage and the audio file no longer match up :? :? :(

so I am really confused at this point?

I recently ran into this problem as well and found that the easiest thing to do was to just use DVD2AVI which, apparently, seperates the ac3 files and the videos when it decodes it. I then use Premier to put them back together and output it as an avi. Of course, most times in an amv you don't want the sound, so I haven't really developed this technique very far. Also I have a PC.

Doing what madmag suggested will work, but it might result in inferior audio quality. Your best bet is to find a Mac program that strips the ac3 files and maybe another that converts them to wav files. Then just use IMovie to put them back together. If the problem that you're getting is that the sound seems to be going at 2x the speed of the movie then it could be that it was already compressed on the DVD and would have been decompressed by the DVD player, as happens sometimes on Playstation games. Good luck. For PC DVD-ripping help doom9.org is the place to go, but they don't seem to host any mac programs.
