could it be divx? PROBLEM!

Post by alicia_chan8 » Sun Mar 14, 2004 11:55 pm

Hi *again*!

My wonderful computer has decided to stuff up on me, and when I view a file in windows media player, if i change the size of it (either full screen or otherwise) it never fully renders and stays pixilated.
You know when you have a really good quality file - say a dvd rip, and when you make it full screen it looks pixilated for a second, before adjusting...well, it doesn't adjust for me :(
Is it divx? Are all my codecs stuffed?
Please help me!

Hot damn, I know what you mean and I actually have no idea how to fix it :|

Actually, I think I've just confirmed an old hunch about the video overlay. Try opening the video in two different media player windows at the same time. One of them may resize smoothly. Report back.

Sadly, it didn't work... :(

I opened it in both Real One and Windows Media and neither would resize and adjust themselves.

Also, *randomly - but it may have something to do with it* When I produce a divx file with premiere, it comes out really weird, like, there are all these chopped up lines around it, and it goes really spasticated, and it'll only go away if i resize it - but then it'll go pixilated.
*ahh, this is driving me insane!*
