Windows Movie Maker vs Adobe Premiere

Hello all. Just your humble neighborhood newbie here.

Just wondering, are they pretty much the same thing? Does one possess more/better features than the other? I guess the real question is, which one is better to use?

This is the difference

Windows Movie Maker is like hitchiking to school on the back of your friends bmx. It's a slow bumpy ride but it gets you there.

Premiere is like buying your own car and driving that to school.

They both get you there, it's just that one is more powerful, more comfortable, more expensive and gets you more chicks than the other.

If you get the Pinto version of Premiere, it also explodes on you more often, too.

To add to the analogy, in addition to being more expensive, Premiere's also a fair deal more complicated for to operate.

In layman's terms:

Windows Movie Maker sucks
Premiere is so much better

They are barely the same. Premiere has much more at your disposal while all you can do in WMM is cross dissolve. Wow. (I used WMM V1)

Lol. Alright everybody, thanks for your replies. I somewhat guessed that Premiere would be superior (Although I'm sure WMM would get you there eventually. =P)
