Adobe Premiere is the best.

Don't listen to a word of what anyone tells you.

home-made
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Yes - homemade or finding them through Google is the best way to go.

Sorry, but this question has been asked way too many times in the past.
The customary answer? There IS no "best" editing program.
The more accurate answer? It's all a matter of personal preference. What has all the capabilities you feel you need to realize your vision, and with what do you feel most comfortable working?

By the way, you can download a free trial version of Premiere Pro from Adobe's website.

You can also download a trail version of Vegas 5 which I hear - I don't know anything for sure - is a really great program. I fooled with it for just a little while and discovered that I'm just too used to premiere already. And I just started making AMVs.

But yes it seems more like whatever fits YOU better is the program you want. You just have to try them all out. That's why they offer those trial versions you know?
