Ok you guys probably get this question a lot so I'm sorry. I stumbled across this site yesterday and now I'm interested in making AMV's. I have the DVD of the anime I wish to use. I also have Windows Movie Maker. I hear it is very simple which is good for me

I also have the cd with the song I want. Now I'm at a big dilema. What now? How do I capture scenes and what now. I've read the tuturials but none of them really help for me. I just want to make AMV's.

Ok so from that guide I must get a DVD ripper. But when i went to download one it said they were illegal in the US. Should I still get it? Or is there another way to get the anime into my Windows Movie Maker?

ok, technicaly, making amv's is illegal. then again, theirs a difference between illegal and imoral. what you do is your choise alone. and please dont start a thread on the legality of amv's, if ya care, do a search. we allready have enough threads on that topic

It may have been a reference to the fact that certain things involving encryption/decryption are illegal (I don't know all the details), and when you rip from a DVD you're decrypting the MPEG-2.

Watch out! I'm using ROT13! Pbhyq or qnatrebhf!
