Hey, here's what's happening to me and it really has me stumped.
First of all, I'm using the bait and switch method for faster editing.
I have this one avs file that I just cant rid completely of interlacing, although im gonna keep trying. My main problem though is that
when I load my avs into Vdub and compress it to make a poor quality .avi the resulting video doesnt match my avs frame for frame. I'm using the PIC MJPEG codec to compress (I don't know if that makes a difference or not). Shouldn't vdub be producing an exact frame for frame replica of my original avs only compressed in the new .avi file? I know that the interlacing isnt completely removed by shouldnt it be making a duplicate reguardless?
I've done this to 2 other pieces of video in which I DID completely remove the interlacing its been fine, that's why I think this might have something to do with removing all the interlacing from the video. It's getting annoying though because this is a hybrid and I'm having trouble finding the exact settings but ill get there. Any ideas? Or is there any more information I need to provide?
Compressed video doesnt match avs file?

Hmm yes, as far as I know, it should. I'm working with some hybrid material and the bait and switch method as well, but I don't have that problem. Which deinterlacing method do you use? And where did you discover the frame problem, in your NLE or in VDub?
Last night I dreamt I ate a ten-pound marshmallow, and when I woke up the pillow was gone.
