If you can think it, this will do it!
You can Write your own filters, which I am doing right-now for a pesky Motion
Compinsational NON-De-interlacing problem and it has every feature that Primiere
has and then some.
It makes and supports DLL's - even those written for other products.
How can you go wrong. . . . well, yeah, it has a limit of 4200 X 2000 @ 85 fps!

well, prety much every mid-high end NLE can do that. and alot of programs probably have all the features of premier. they've probably got even more features and they've probably implimented them beter than premier. They're probably cheaper than premeir, and they probably also have a beter gui (actualy, im starting to think that premiers gui was writen by someone who's site was less than good, and who enjoyed hardcore bondage).

that im kinda doubting, with the exception of directx plug-ins.

I'm a newbie to this genre.
However I use Sony Vegas 5.0, 4.0.
Also at times I use Premiere,
I use FX suites such as boris after FX, Adobe after effects, and know a thing or 3 about making scripts and effects in vegas.....
I really like the original video done to Evanescence's Imaginary...
(the reason I have really begun looking into this genre)
Anyways, the learning curve on Veags is very friendly although the usabilty and strencgths of Vegas are very powerful as well. I find using a grouping of programs allows me to do what I really want in digital film, now I'd like to see what I can do in this genre too.
My two bits...
cheers

Thats what ive bein saying (ok, pimping sometimes) about vegas. It's strength isnt in the fact that it is just as powerful, if not more powerfull than premier, but that its just so easy, so simple to do prety much anything you could ever want to do in it. Oh and its stable as a rock.miracleboy wrote:Anyways, the learning curve on Veags is very friendly although the usabilty and strencgths of Vegas are very powerful as well.

Hmmm, maybe I should look into this Vegas... I use Premiere 6 LE, which means I have no effects, among other limitations. It was fairly difficult to learn, but now that I'm used to it, it seems quite simple. And rather intuitive, I feel. But I think I'll do some shopping around, I'm really itching to start working with some serious effects usage.
