Ripping help
Um, hello, sorry to ask this question, but I was sent a bunch of anime episodes for my birthday in Real Player format, and, um, how do I rip them? Or can I chage the format?

Re: Ripping help
You don't "rip" from one format to another. "Ripping" is a term for pulling audio or video off of read-only, encoded removable media - such as a CD or a DVD.demosthenes_2000 wrote:Um, hello, sorry to ask this question, but I was sent a bunch of anime episodes for my birthday in Real Player format, and, um, how do I rip them? You "reencode" or "convert" video from one format to another.
As for how to do it... what AMVFfrak said should work, and, yes, you'd be best off ripping video off of DVDs. Converting from RealVideo will yield an inferior-quality product.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."
