I don't what the problem is
Hey there
Well i'm using the super fancy AVS way of getting footage of dvd's and stuff. and well, when i replace the clips with the avs format i get this really bad looking crap, it hasn't happened before I just want to know what is going on with and how can i fix it up so it look normal.
Here is picture to explain things a little better

I sincerely suggest you READBAG, now!ssjThamuz wrote:my avs code its just the simple import thing i don't have that other code , so I might add it and see what happens
To be more specific, try the section marked "Restoring Progressive Frames", although by the look of that footage it'll be a trial to say the least. As post-it say, that looks like full frame interlaced PAL footage (I'd know, i can only use PAL). But also as Zarxrax says: it looks like you've also resized it too, hence the extreme bad-ness of it.

Uh, no it wouldn't... I use PAL and all I have to do is:post-it wrote:X2Zaphod_Beeblebrox wrote:i think kalium's right, but to help clear this up could you post your script?
that almost looks like a PAL Interlace; telecide would have to be followed by another deinterlacer - if it is!
Telecide(1)
Decimate()
and it works fine. I think thats what it is, anyway. It's something like that.
Yes, thats interlacing, and yes, he needs to deinterlace before he resizes.
