Using DVD decryp and DVD2AVI

ok, i ripped the files from DVD decrypter and it came out as the VOB files. Then, i took the main files (i did troy and there was 8) and then i went to "save project". when it got done it was only the sound file. then i did "save AVI" and it worked and made the video but it had no sound. what am i doing wrong? also, it came out as like 4.51 GB (the two video clips it took and the sound file). how can i reduce this? thanks alot for any help.

With AviSynth you can use AudioDub to put the sound over the vids, and if you also use VirtuaDubMod you can export it to avi and use compression to make it smaller (DIVX etc)
