Video Importing help

I have tried multiple times to import a certain video into WMM2 and Adobe Premiere. It is an AVI formated file. when i import it and put it on the timeline and then play it i dont see anything in the preview window

What codec does it use?

Try either:
1) converting the clips you need to HuffYUV in VirtualDub(/Mod)
or
2) serving it with an AVISynth script, using the <b>AVISource</b> command
