Please reinstall Adobe Premiere Pro and start again." Now i have tryed and tryed again to reinstall it, I have even uninstalled and reinstalled it completely time and time again... but the same message appears... If anyone could help im going crazy here..... leave a responce if you have any information... extra info: running XP, i have installed it before sucessfully, but the trial ended and now im where I am now... Please leave any info you may have to resolve this problem....

I have searched a couple other forums through Google and found this one
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/135611
It talks about the problem being with "FFDSHOW".
Also if I read your second post correctly you mentioned using "Codec Packs". These are tempting to get, but the Codec Packs are not really a good idea to install. Best just to get specific codecs as you need them.
All the forums I have looked over think that this is a codec issue. So I believe that you are on the right track.

Dosn't FFDshow come with the amvapp? I have the same setup installed and it works fine for me. The other thread also suggested it was a codec in the amvapp but that was on premiere 6.0, not pro 1.5.

Premiere Pro is also called "7.0". This problem is perplexing! Every solution that I have read says that it is a codec problem of some kind.
However I really have'nt seen any common thread of imcompatability?
It is always something different
I'm sorry that I can't be of better help, but I'll keep looking.

There is no codec that will allow you to open a .vob file directly with Premiere.
I would suggest downloading the AMVapp --->http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... mvapp.html
VirtualDubMod can open a .vob file directly but it's not recommended for the best quality.
Here is the part of the guide that deals with obtaining and using the .vob files taking from a DVD. http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... ogetb.html
I highly recommend reading the ENTIRE guide not just what I have shown you. There is a lot to take in.
If you don't mind me asking, how did you go about getting Premiere 1.5 to work properly again.
