After effects 6.5 exporting

Okay I have an avi, its 720 x 540 and I am trying to export it to 720 x 480 (but for some reason it doesn't let me do this)

These are the steps I took

I went to templates > output > edit in settings > in stretch and typed 720 x 480 what gives? and yes the compisition is 720 x 540. but i had to edit it, on its original size
