How do you get a MKV to import to Windows Movie Maker or Adobe Premeire Pro 1.5.
While im asking that, i want to ask, whats the most current or best version of Premeire?
Thanks for any help

Then use direct stream copy, which merely extracts the video stream from the MKV file and saves it to a new AVI without converting.Dagre wrote:Is there some way to make it into a WMV or something? AVI is waaay to big. one epidose's about 15gigs! (i only have 12 left on my comp, lol)
Of course, if you want to be able to edit these AVIs nicely, you'll have to serve them up with AVISynth's AVISource(). As a general rule, editing programs don't play nice with MPEG-4 (includes DivX, XviD, 3ivX, MS MPEG-4, etc.) video sources.

HuffYUV is a lossless codec (meaning it reproduces pixel-for-pixel just what it's given, barring colorspace conversions) that can store data in either the RGB32 or the YUY2 colorspace.
Since every frame in a HuffYUV stream is a keyframe, and since there's no quality loss, it's ideal for making source clips for editing AMVs.
I mean use them as source to make your AMV in whatever your video editing program is, like WMM2 or Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5.Dagre wrote:and what do you mean edit AVI's?
