Deinterlace --> Trouble - Help!

Post by -Daicon- » Mon May 23, 2005 11:01 am

Well, the thing is that I've made an AMV using Premiere Pro. I used huffYUV to encode the source. Then I used that source in Premiere and worked with it until I finished the AMV.
The problem is that the result, in a lot of scenes I can see this strange lines.
Looks like I have to deinterlace the whole AMV, is this possible? Ive seen the guides but I dont understand them quite right. I have virtualdub and avisynth but ive never used the last one. I dont know anything about scripts, im really lost here.

I have a file of 4.5gb, only if I chose none in the render option. If I chose huffYUV would be 1gb. I dont get to see the difference. And then I encoded with DIVX using VirtualDubMod and i got a 60mb file without encoding the audio that ill do later (it will get much smaller). The thing is that the HuffYUV is alright, although the interlace that I must fix, but the DIVX looks horrible, interlaced + less quality. :shock:

Use Virtual dub. Its simple really...

When I save my videos they are still interlaced. I put them into virtual dub and just use the deinterlacing filter on it. Since for some reason when I make an avs script it doesnt work.

It's quite possible to deinterlace the entire video. Methods for doing so are already described in great detail at http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... moval.html . If you need help on any of those methods, ask about a specific method.

How does it "not work"?

I don't know I can't get the script to open in virtual dub so I don't bother using it. Or it opens it automatically I don't know.

try deinterlaceing BEFORE you edit.compressors go haywire with interlaced footage. for your current amv i would save/export your project from your video editor(whatever it may be) as a fully uncompressed(if you have the hdd space) avi file. then run virtualdubmod and OPEN FILE VIA AVI SYNTH.go to TOOLS then open SCRIPT EDITOR and paste these2 lines:
ConvertToYV12(interlaced=true)
SangNom(order=1,aa=32)
( there are alot of deinterlacers, im just guessing this one will work for your problem.http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... r video :0
