WMM Help Needed Desperately!!!!

Post by plushoo » Sun May 29, 2005 12:21 pm

Okay. I'm getting really, REALLY aggravated with this, so any help would be very much appreciated. I wasn't sure where to put this topic, but this place seemed right.

How do you save DVD footage into your media library on Windows Media Player? It's so annoying, I've been trying to do it for the last hour and nothing's worked. I want to import the saved file into Windows Movie Maker to make AMVs with the footage. That's why I bought the DVD (which, by the way, is non-refundable and I bought it in perfect condition).

Please help me!!

First of all, what type of footage? What file it is? (Vob? or Avi?)

I'm really sorry! After I posted this, I remembered that there were - gasp! - GUIDES! D'OH! So, sorry for acting like a stupid n00b. ^^;;

Anyways, I've gotta finish reading a guide (it's 33 pages long... O_o), but I'm not sure what type of footage it is. ^^;;

Okay! I read VicBond007's Guide to Working with DVD Footage, but I'm stuck on the part where it says to download the thing from http://arbor.ee.ntu.tw/~jackei/dvd2avi/ or whatever the site is. That site won't come up for me. It says, "Page cannot be displayed". This is really irking me!! What do I do??

it contains the latest version of dgindex, which is current version of dvd2avi. download and install this, then follow vicbond's instructions for dvd2avi, except in dgindex.
