Yes. I own a Toshiba DVD-ROM drive and it's by0000000tyful.

ASUS makes good ones, as well.

Go to http://www.newegg.com and look for either of these brands.

Well you could use those downloaded clips (quality issues and subtitle issues aside....) you just need to convert them to a format (using virtual dub) that Premiere can digest more readily such as HuffyYuv (I swear by this codec....) You can look up the stuff mentioned on google

But yeah DVD's are a much better way to.
