You can let me know if AVISynth import works in any other applications, and if Premiere Pro works for you without the AVISynth import plugin. You can also compile the code for the AVISynth import plugin with debugging information enabled.

All I get from "the instruction at [ instruction address ] referenced memory at [ address ]. The memory could not be [ op ]" type errors is that an instruction at the instruction address was trying to perform [op] on [address], and was denied. It doesn't really say anything about what program is at [op] or what subroutine or function it was in.

It sounds like your copy is pirated, in which case the number of possibilities becomes a LOT larger.

I think we have seperate problems with the AVS file. I opened virtual dub, played my script, shut it down. No Problem.

I played the avs file and closed it no problems.

I opened virtual dub, played the AVS, stopped virtual dub (not closed) then played the avs file - No problem.

I played the Virtual Dub then opened the AVS file while Virtual dub was going (same file). The only thing that happened was that virtual dub stopped playing untill I stopped playing the seperate window AVS.

That and we are getting different memory errors.

Mine: "The instruction at '0x4f91177" referenced memory at "0x0e96328". The memory could not be "read".

Yours: "The instruction at "0x02118bfc" referenced memory at "0x02143888". The memory could not be "read".

Which eddition of premier are you using?

That's just due to the fact that Premiere is loading at a different location on your computer than his. It's not indicative of a different problem at all.

Okay, I unloaded the patch completely and did the Primiere thing,

Still no go...

Blew about an hour and ten minutes... It's the FFdshow. I can remove it and adobe doesn't error out anymore (but won't quite render my projects in Premier anymore). But considering I kinda need that thing...

Oi Vey.

Hey T-God, you've got FFdShow don't ya? I think that's the bastard that's doing it. It's got all the codecs imbeded into it (as all the codecs showed up on my computer after installing) and, I found out something really interesting.

I grabbed Mitternach(sp) [Xvid] off the org and ran it in Windows Media playter. FFdshow decides to run it's executable simultaniously (windows media player I guess was going to it for the codec instead of going straight to the codec). And whenever I hit the stop button or closed it out I got an error message and the computer wants to put together an error point... bla bla bla.

But the thing is, It's got to be related to the codec management system of FFdshow. I havn't gotten brave enough to take FFdShow off my computer yet (don't quite want to loose my project files). So as soon as I get this current video done I will try to narrow it down...

Yar! That darn ffdshow.ax, right? That little fucker was giving me problems a few months ago. I couldn't even get Premiere open without getting an error.

I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Haven't had a problem since.
