Im trying to make a Bleach movie, and WMM keeps freezing/doesn't respond. I think it has something to do with this program called Haali Movie Splitter popping up. help

avoid using divx, xvid, or mpeg compressed video sources, and make sure you have several gigabytes free on your hard drive.

That tells us almost nothing. What codec does the video stream use?idabi wrote:its an .avi file...downwithpants wrote:avoid using divx, xvid, or mpeg compressed video sources, and make sure you have several gigabytes free on your hard drive.
AVI files can contain video streams of many codecs, including none (uncompressed RGB), HuffYUV, MJPEG, RLE, Indeo, MS MPEG-4, Cinepak, etc. ...

In Windows Explorer, pull up the file's Properties, then hit the Summary tab and click the Advanced button (if it's there); the video codec should be provided near the bottom.idabi wrote:How can i find outScintilla wrote:That tells us almost nothing. Or open the file in VirtualDub(/Mod) and select "File information" from the File menu.

I suppose you have no choice but to convert the clips you need to HuffYUV.

Which one?idabi wrote:Im trying to install it but there is no .inf file and it keeps asking me to pinpoint a direction.
For HuffYUV, just plop the DLL in the C:\windows\system32 directory (assuming it exists).
For VirtualDubMod, it should be enough just to unpack all the contents of the ZIP archive to their own directory.
Trivia: In the VirtualDubMod ZIP archive (at least the one for 1.5.10.1), the file readme_virtualdubmod_dlls.txt apparently gives you a license to use, modify, copy, and distribute... me.
