major pinnacle help

hey i just got pinaccle and its very new to me alot differnt from adobe i just need alittle help i have pinnacle plus studio version 9.3 and for some reason its very laggy, i was just wonder acouple things, theres a bunch of non supported file formats how do i get the supported? how i go to text option theres a bunch of texts but i was wonder how u write something in them because there all example, also how do u change the export filter because i made a 5 sec video and it was like 20 mbs hmm thats about all for now but im sure there will be more in the future if anyone could help i would be grateful
