So i've ripped my stuff off the DVD and I put it into DGIndex and saved the project. Now what I have to do is "make an Avisynth Script that imports our .d2v file." That's all fine and dandy, but how are you supposed to do that? I downloaded avisynth script three different times and ways and nothing is coming to me. please, if anybody can help me, please do!!!!
Thank you!!!!!!
Saved project on DGIndex... what now!?

Open up any word document file.
Type out:
MPEG2Source("C:\wherever_your_d2v_file_is\name_of_file.d2v")
Example:
MPEG2Source("C:\Clips\Episode1.d2v")
Where your clips are located.
Then when you save it name it the same as the file and put .avs after it.
Example:
Episode1.avs
And the .d2v file should open up in the video-editing program your using. If not might have to re-rip the clips or convert the vob into a .d2v again.
Hope it works for ya ^_^ and good luck on amving!

Yay!!! Thanks!!! Now it plays on Windows Media Player Classic... But I can't import the video to window movie maker... It says it doesn't recognize that type of video or something like that. Is there, perhaps, another movie maker software that will use the video that i can download for free. I'm on a very tight budget... in fact, I doubt my parents will let me spend anything on this sort of stuff.
Oh yeah, and thanks again!!!!

Your welcome. Hmmmm I think if you want to use windows movie maker you have to take the d2v files and convert them into lossless codec like huffy or lagarith [or whatever the other one is] .avi's with virtual dub but it takes up a lot of space. I know but I don't use windows movie maker or do that I just use the d2 v anf open them up in my video-editing program.
WMM is free all windows xp users have it. On the org there is a hardware/software list.

It has a list of many video-editing programs. And nope sorry theres not many free ones. And there are some that have 30 day trials.
Video-editing programs are expensive but there are other ways in getting them. If you know how and sorry I can't tell you how. Its against forum rules.
But I would suggest one of the Adobe premieres. I use adobe premiere 6.0 I love using it's easy. But for beginners it might seem complicated. But when you get used to it and start learning how to use it it's a peace of cake.
