WMM freezes. And Adobe Premiere doesn't work....

Greetings.

I ripped some video from my DVD using VirtualDubMod, compressed it to avi using XviD. I can import the avi just fine to AVI, but soon after, it just freezes *frustration*. Furthermore, when I try to "save movie file* on WMM, the program freezes.

Next I tried using Premiere (v 5.5) with the same clips, but the thing says "file compression not supported." I tried using the same avi without compression, but it still says "file compression not supported." Any thoughts?

I have DVD Decrypter, but I didn't use it (I'm a harddrive miser). Do you think this would make a difference?

Don't try to use XviD to edit with. Consult the guides section of this site for more informaton.
